I didn't even think about burning a little bit! I'm going to pick some up from the native american store at the mall this weekend and and take it from there.

Thank you for all your comments on smudging, I'm sorry I haven't been around to answer them but I've been working a lot and my sister has just spent two weeks in hospital.

They have done all the tests on her and they are pretty sure she has cancer, they can't confirm this til the result of the biopsy comes in. She will get the result early next week.

It's been quite a traumatic time for her and I feel I should be there with her but I live 300 miles away. I went to see her a couple of days ago and the hardest thing was leaving there to face all this.

My other two sisters have been fantastic, taking time off work and being with her every step of the way. I'm the eldest sister and I feel it's my job to be with her but it's not possible.

I feel I should be doing something for her, a healing spell or sending her healing energies but I don't know where to start. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated

I always unwrap my sage when I get pre wrap'ed wands. Sage has a way of talking and getting excited when lit in an active household. Think of your reasons for smudging in the first place and what were you thinkiing of when the smudge reacted. Sometimes we forget that when we walk to the window, we are wanting to look outside. We smudge to clear the air of negitive unbalanced energies. We are banishing an energy to fill the space with another. Every now and again, thoses energies, do speak in the only way they know how.

Sounds to me, regardless of the outcome, you had a conversation and the cat decided to leave you two alone so you could get to know each other on a more personal basis.

I unwrap and burn my sage on pure charcoal, this way I know what is burning and which ally's will be able to be confronted.

My sister did have cancer, Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, to be exact.

I did a healing spell for her after a lot of reseach, but before I did the spell I got an overwhelming feeling she was going to be alright, I've never felt a feeling of such certainty.

After 18 weeks of chemo and two scans later she was told the cancer had gone, thank goodness.

She returned back to work last week on a part time basis until she's strong enough to do full time work.

Fund permitting we are hoping to go and see her in August and I can't wait.
