"Wyrdology is the art of crystal ball reading.A quick note- a crystal ball is a sacred tool and should be treated as one, be sure to cleanse it regularly and keep a black or purple silk over it when it is not in use." quote from the encyclopedia of 5000 spells by judika Illes

Charge crystal balls periodically with the light of the full moon and be sure to cleanse them regularly. I sometimes will wash mine in mugwort infusion or you can smudge it. I find the mugwort helps up the energy of the ball, if you are having problems with clarity add some lavender to the infusion.

[color=#BF0080]Also from personal experience I find it can muddle the reading if two people are trying to read at once. Me and my step mom were reading together and we were getting mixed up stuff about past lives and politics. be sure that you are the only one using your crystal ball and if you dont have a bigger one, don't worry a small works fine.

Hello Druid

I have a friend that used crystal balls, and it worked wonderfully.

Thanks for sharing that Druid. I've been interested in trying to use a crystal ball for divination, I just need to actually purchase one, and have yet to find one that speaks out to me.

I know of many people who have used it with great success.

Blessed Be.

The part about keeping the crystal ball covered when not in use is VERY important. I have some friends who had a big beautiful crystal ball that they put in front of a window and it started a little fire. They moved it's display position and it burned three areas all in all. It was big enough to catch the light wherever it was and act like a magnifying glass...

If they were keeping it in a place were it was constantly being charged/cleansed by the sun thats why. It is not entirely necessary, however it has caused issues for people before and it can absorb any memory floating around.

At first it was in the window, but after the first fire they moved it where they thought it was out of the sun. It seemed to be able to catch the light no matter where they put it. They ended up keeping it in a box!
