No one rants and raves and raises sand here anymore. You're right - nothing outrages people! At least in the 60s people had some gall and didn't let themselves be completely tromped all over!

I agree with both of you.
We've really developed a 'shoulder shrugging' mentality...
We lost sight of our priorities and the things that are truly important somewhere along the way, and it's scary.

Could be time for another revolution. I think the Los Angeles riots due to the outcome of the trial for the police that beat Rodney King is what needs to take place more often. Bottom line is that it changed the verdict for the animals (LAPD) that brutally beat a defenseless man while on the ground. Civil unrest works.

Civil protest works...civil unrest just feeds into fear and paranoia already existing. And yet all I do is sit here and post in a forum, I guess hypocrisy rules...'despite all my rage I am just a rat in a cage' ...

Let's just say civil unrest leads to civil protest.

I have a novel idea, why don't we start our own revolution today instead of sitting around talking about it. Any ideas??

The trouble will be getting other people to stand together - people are skittish creatures these days...

As long as it's a non-violent revolution, I'm ok with it. I don't agree with hurting, killing, and vandalism to make a point.

Well, ok. Non-violent revolutions aren't quite as effective but we could give it a try. ISO2 mentioned that next month is Pagan-Pride, maybe we could band together somehow and do something, mentally, ritualistically, ?? Does anyone have any ideas. I mean there is probably 1001 things we could do together at the same time that would do, help.......... What are your thoughts??

Hey!
Martin Luther King Jr.?? Ghandi??
All the violent revolutions do is make the participants drop down to the "enemies" level. It's dirty, and only effective at scaring people into submission, not actually making them change their minds and hearts.

I'm all for a non-violent revolution. Maybe we could do a massive healing ritual all at the same time...???

Well WhiteFox we all know what passivity got Martin Luther King Jr, Ghandi, John Lennon and Jesus. Dead. But yes, some type of healing ritual all at the same time would be cool. Lets make plans.

I like the idea of a healing ritual...and no I do not begin to entertain the idea of a violence...but a healing ritual performed by as many people at the same time...that sounds amazing..we would just have to agree on what we are trying to heal...so much to choose from no?
