Hay Roxane,
I had a member ask me the same thing in one od my mentor groups, he didn't really have the space for a full cast circle so I suggested to him to have a protection bubble aroun d you and your working area. Then ask the Gods and Goddesses to come and join you, protect you, bless you and guide you through your magcikal workings. Then go ahead and consecrate your tools. But it comes down to you, do what you feel is right. If you feel that a full circle is needed then go for it, if you feel a protection bubble is all you need, go for it. Do what feels right for you. What works for me may not work for you, then again it may, or it may for somethings and not for others.
Like WhiteFox said, your finger is just as good if not better as it is already powered with your energy. Use the poiter finger of your power hand (the hand you write with most), that can be your wand. In all honestly you don't need all the tools that are mentioned, I don't have a wand or an athame, I do own them, I juts don;t feel the need to use them yet.

Haya Chazbraz,
I don't usually if I am just in a protection bubble, but if I am casting a full circle I do call the quarters. If in a protection bubble I only call them if I am doing a really long ritual or many rituals. I am using prtection bubbles more and more lately as my health isn't crash hot at the moment and I can't stand for long periods of time, so I sit in my chair in front of may alter and raise my protective bubble. NOTE: When I started out I called the quarters for everything as I wanted protection for everything and I didn't want to offend them or leave them out, but as I went on in my path I learned that things were different as you will over time . Being a newbie is so frustrating, there is so much out there to learn and remember, I thought I would never get it, but with patience (something I definitly don't posses a lot of), I did finally get things.

Well it's just recently I've been wanting to invite the goddess but with my scattered unnerved mind of the late.. it has been rather difficult to always be "on point" with my focusing ability. Sheilding is so much simpler. I recognize it's better to always call them, but for just inviting this is easier. Thank you. BB

No worries Chaz,
I just usually say something like, 'I ask the Gods and Goddesses to join me here today in my magcikal workings, I ask for your protection, guidance, blessings, wisdom. I ask that you stay with me for all that I do here today/tonight. I ask that you watch over me and be with me always.' Then I light my candle/s and burn my incense and say something like 'I light this candle and burn this incense, may the light and scent be a guiding link between us' I then do the ritual/s and or spell/s that I ahve to then at the end I say something like 'I thank the gods and the goddesses for being here with me today/tonight. I thankyou all for you protection, guidance, blessings, wisdom. I thankyou for being with me through my magickal workings. I thankyou for all that you have done for me. I thank you.' I then snuff out the candle, and by the end of things the incense has burned out and I say 'the incense had burned and the candle has been snuffed. The link between us has been broken. May we still be joined in spirit and life and may we meet again soon, Thankyou' Then I close down the bubble, ground and centre and then go on my way.
I also raise my protection bubble when I am meditating adn I also ask the gods and goddesses to join me while I meditate to protect, guide, bless and help me see all that is to be seen. After I have finished meditating I thank them, ground the protection bubble and centre myself. I have found that I see more when I ask them to join me adn protect me. But that is just me and my way of doing things.

These are great and definitely helpful for us newbie's, so thanks in advance. Once i'm ready to do my first consecration i'm going to try this one out, as many i've seen are long winded and too complex, i like this one's simple and direct approach, something newbie's need a lot. Once i've done it i will copy it into my BOS if thats ok?? and i will let you know how i get on xxBB

Copy away, anything to help others out. I find complex rituals and spells can be rather frustrating, as I am so worried i'll stuff it up, as in, i'm so worried about doing it right I may loose focus on what I am doing and why I am doing it. KISS - Keep It Super Simple (and easy to remember hehehehe).

Hiya Nuttybaby,
A protection bubble is just how it sounds, it's bubble of protective energy that you raise around yourself, but it can move with you, at least that is how I see it. Similar to how you raise the protection for your sacred space, is how you raise the protection bubble. I start off with my feet on the ground (whether standing or sitting) and I feel the earth's positive energies filling me via my feet, then I allow that built up energy to burst forth and form a bubble or mini circle around me and my working area, But with this bubble it is flexible and movable, so if I need to pop off to say, the toilet, in the middle of my spell or ritual, I can just up and go as it will be with me wherever I go until I ground the energy back to mother earth. You can make this bubble as big or as little as you like, if you are meditating for example, just create the bubble to encase you or if you are performing a spell, have it envelope you and your working area.
To ground, just reverse the energy, see yourself re absorbing the energy from your bubble until you are full again, then feel that energy returning to mother earth via your feet, when you have returned all of the energy you borrowed, you are grounded.

Thank you witchcraftandwizardry! the kiss method is amazing, and i never knew about protection bubbles eaither, it makes sense! i thought we always had to cast a circle and call the quarters when doing anything related to meditation workings, ect. this makes sense! it goies where i go. and i like you, am afraid to flub up words or what not! duh this makes it soo more realisttic to me! i am gonna have to post about this in my book of mirrors and book of shadows! thank you!

it took me a long time, but I finally made use of all the helpful tips received here. A very belated thank you!. Here is what I ended up doing for my first tool consecrations:
Quick tool cleansing ritual
Set out salt, water, a white candle and incense. Light candle and incense.
Raise protective bubble
Put tools on a piece of paper with a pentagram drawn on it.
Say
I call upon the Lord and Lady of the Sun and Moon
To cleanse and bless my magic tools.
I charge you with the power of the elements
Earth, Fire, Water, Air of Scents.
Sprinkle tools with salt, pass through candle, sprinkle with water, pass through incense.
Touch tools with finger/athame/wand and say
Let go of all old energy,
Serve in magick only me.
Visualize unwanted energies being absorbed into the paper.
May the power of the One Divine
Reside in you to help the spells of mine.
In my workings harm you none.
So mote it be and it is done.
Remove tools from paper. Remove protective bubble. Extinguish candle and discard the paper outside of the house (recycling bin).
Now I have some designated bowls, a chalice, candleholders, candles, incense and oil and a box to keep it all in.

I am also quite new to wicca, I am a solitary witch and a few years ago before I knew anything about wicca, I bought a load of alter tools, (thinking I knew it all, being a smarty pants...lol)...I never cleansed or consecrated any of them as I never knew anything about it, and myself and my partner had alot of bad luck and misfortunes for months afterwards until I got rid of all my tools...
I'm now more mature and have studied everyday now for at least 2 months and now believe I am on my path...
The above consecration ritual is very much an excellent and rewarding ritual...as soon as I purchased or found my new tools, I carried out this ritual straight away and found it amazing...
I feel more at ease now in my work and am soooo happy I found this site to further my studies....

I certainly would not! And the same ought to apply to your Craft tools. If for no other reason than respect for The Craft.

Being solitary, there are no consecrated tools around to cast my first circle. Any advise?

Annina The one thing i learned in the spell casting course is the the power comes from you the earth and the god +goddess .so tool are just that tools to help you do magick you can use your finger to cast your circle ,just visualize power coming or going thought your finger two cast the circle.I am in lesson 9 my self i love it.
