Pino, I think that is a wonderful idea. I would however let the publisher set the price as they should have good business sense or you may want to find one that does. lol I really enjoy the ezine!

This sounds like a great idea!
I would pay $10 - $12 for a good quarterly. I guess for me it would have to be by subscription unless you expand the market to Canada as well as the U.S.A.
I too would prefer a magazine I can hold and read. Reading off the screen hurts my eyes sometimes, besides which I am a real packrat when it comes to books etc!

I would like to see something like this available in the U.S. I would be open to a subscription price.

I think it's a great idea! I currently subscribe to a magical magazine and it prints 4 times a year, I pay $19.00 USD a year. It's about 50 pgs give or take, so I would gladly pay that much for the Ezine. Plus I'm with leifi I don't do so well with reading online sometimes. I'd rather have a magazine.

Hello,
I think that would be wonderful. I love looking at magazines and books. It would also be great to be able to have them and look back on past issues. I save different publications myself. A quarterly magazine I would not blink twice at 10 to 15 dollars and if subscription I would pay 35 dollars.

Each author and artist will retain the copyright, but allow Magicka dispensation to put their work in the published Ezine/Magazine. It will only ever be used under the Magicka name and in the context of the ezine/magazine.
Just like it is now

I was wondering what the general membership thought.
Also how much would you be prepared to pay for a 70-100 page colour magazine (bear in mind that as it is a small company production costs are relatively high)
Please let me have your thoughts.

Hasn't the publisher given you suggestions or pricing? That would be my first thought is to listen to their advice as It IS their job to do this type of work. Now I understand that while costs may be high, that really is not the concern of the customer who is going to buy your magazine. So that really doesn't factor in to us. I pay 6 dollars an issue for NewWitch Magazine and it is Quarterly as well, they also have a rate for those who would like to subscribe to their magazine. Obviously those who choose to subscribe pay a cheaper rate. So I wouldnt mind paying around 6 dollars for such a magazine. It also depends on Content, whats offered, etc.. How much of the magazine is advertising space and how much of it is actual raw content. I cant really see myself paying Ten dollars at all for One Magazine. To me thats just out of the economy lol. I dont think i've ever paid that much for magazines well unless they were my Photoshop magazines which have a lot of technical how to guides and come with cd's with programs and such. Other then that I have never paid such for a magazine, thats usually when people would say lets subscribe.

I think it is a great opportunity that is probably worth pursuing. It would certainly be worth your time to look into it.

Hello there ,
I was wondering if you ever agreed to publish the E-zine? I have just recently joined the Magicka School Forum and came across your post. I think your idea of publishing a quarterly digest of the ezine coinciding with the Greater Sabbats is a good idea. As for the price, I am uncertain what I would pay. If it is quarterly, illustrated, easy to read, engaging, and informative, I think maybe somewhere in the range of $7.99 - $8.99 US would sound reasonable. What do you think?

Hi, whtrose. The E-zine hasn't gotten round to being physically published yet. But rest assured that we will let everyone know if and when this occurs! Thanks so much for your interest in this everyone!
