Shadow People?

Hello, occasionally I will see these creature that look like the shadows of a person. But no one else will be around, they dont talk and seem to be scared of me. When i look at them they run away and dissappear. Could these shadow people be spirits?

Ghosts are Earth bound, a Spirit has crossed and can come and go from realm to realm.
They are energy, some strong, some not so much, really you just dont know what your dealing with, they can change form to show the side of themselves they want you to see. Some are good and mean no harm, may even be a protective presents, others may want to harm.
