I would say that the orbs you saw as a child were more than likely spirits. The small clusters you're seeing now may also be some kind of otherworld entity\spirit. Not to be negative or anything - but have you had your eyes checked? Sometimes you can get white floaters caused by something happening in the eye itself. And since it usually happens at a certain time of day in the same room it could be the light reflecting from something perhaps.

When you see the lights and you have the time, surround yourself with white light (or another colour if you prefer) perhaps you could try to communicate with them and see what you find out.

i frequently experience the colored orbs and lights you mentioned altho over the years ive had my eyes checked numerous times and there is nothing ever wrong,lol.....

i do think what i see is some type of being/spirit or energy. im not always sure what; but they are always there. i probly most often see the blue colored balls, but have also seen bright pink, yellow and green shades too!

I have indeed had my eyes checked - all fine. I will try to surround myself with light Briganta, thank you for the suggestion. Oddly I've not tried to talk or communicate with these ones, I mentioned it to a friend who basically told me I was mad lol!
