Something has been on my mind for quite some time now & i'm curious for answers (if any!).....
Something happened last Christmas whilst i was staying with my fiance at his family home. I woke up in the middle of the night, very thirsty, so i got up and walked to the kitchen to get a drink. On my way back to bed, walking through the living room in darkness, i clearly imagined (didn't actually see) a man standing in the corner of the room! I didn't feel anything frightening about him and i didn't react at all in any kind of way, i just went back to bed not thinking much of it (maybe because of being half asleep still!)
Since then its always been in the back of my mind and i have always had a clear picture of this man in my head. I have never felt the need to mention this to anyone until a few weeks ago when my fiance was talking about his Grandad, who passed away 25 yrs ago when my fiance was a boy. Suddenly i started describing every little detail about this man to my fiance and told him what i saw only to discover that it was exactly how he remembered his Grandad. Unfortunately we have no pictures of him to be 100% sure.
I have never seen or experienced anything like this before and it baffles me as i believe i 'Imagined' seeing him, rather than 'actually' seeing him???? If that makes any sense at all, is that possible, i dont know??? Surley if i believed it to be real i would have reacted to it in some way?
Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this or have any explainations?

What you described was called seeing it with your mind's eye or third eye. i often see spirits and sometimes that is how i see them, in my minds eye  it is just as clear and vivid as with your true eyes, but it is inside your mind is all. it is still a very valid thing and many folks get psychic visions that way or see spirits in that fashion. in fact the spirit of the man who built my fiance's parents house presents himself to me in my mind's eye. he has also been seen with my regular eyes, but not nearly as often. i was able to check however, since they had a photo of him. But that doesnt always happen, many times we have no photos and must trust our gut instincts instead  He was probably there just checking on his family and maybe even you  he could have been curious about the person his grandchild will be marrying. i wouldnt be worried anyways (just in case you are) it sounds like a friendly family visit  blessings~ ruby rowan _________________ "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. That makes it all a bit clearer!
I couldnt get my head around the fact that i knew for sure that i hadnt seen it with my true eyes but then thinking to myself 'how i did see it then' or 'why would i just imagine that up'!!! Wow!
It didnt worry me at all as he seemed peaceful & friendly enough, like you say, he was probably just checking in!
Ive never really experienced anything like that before, not to my knowledge anyway! Is there anyway you know of helping yourself to open your third eye more, or is this something that has to come naturally with time/experience maybe?

The in between time is the best time to see spirits, imo! They talk about it a lot with fairies, but I have seen countless spirits, my animal guides, fairies...you name it when I'm half asleep. I think what you did see was very real and should not be discounted at all!

Wow, i never thought i had this gift, but then i guess everyone has it to a point but maybe not understand, acknowledge or know how to use it.
Michael.......whilst we're chatting, i just have to say that i think you're great! A true inspiration to us all i believe! Your advice, understanding and knowledge about everything is overwhelming! (Hope thats not embarrassed you, lol! )
One more question for now.........I'm always meditating, studying & practicing as much as poss but do you have any suggestions or tips on how to help open up this channel of my psychic self?
