I have chosen to research Seax-Wica for my lesson 1 research project. I will post my research here, in steps as I complete it. I have purchased Buckland's book, Buckland's Book of Saxon Witchcraft. My research comes from this source. There are some things I find interesting about the tradition, but there are also some things that I am definitely not comfortable with either.
I will start with the tradition's founder, who is Raymond Buckland. He brought wica to America from England in the 1970s. He wrote a book on Saxon Witchcraft, which I am reading now.

Where and when it started:
Seax-Wica started in 1973 with the publication of Buckland's Book of Saxon Witchcraft. Buckland separated from the Gardner tradition and created this tradition that utilizes Saxon elements and reportedly borrows from the Gardner tradition. Seax-Wica started in the US.
