It was my pleasure, hun. Sometimes when we're down or in a crisis state we don't feel like going through a million websites looking for a number to call. Like I said, I hope someone benefits from it. Blessed be.

For Australia, I would like to add Beyond Blue a Victorian org set up for people with depression, but anyone in Australia can call them.

Could we maybe have a single page with the numbers etc on save it getting spread around?
Maybe Torey could add them all on his first post?
Just an idea - It just starting to look a bit messy
Nice a thought

Merry Meet All-
I apologize if this is the incorrect place to make a comment but felt compelled to make a comment.
I clicked on this forum subject as I am in need (great need) of healing energies. I have been away from Magicka for a long time due to my MS and when I found this link all I could think of was "oh thank goddess".
When I found this crisis list and the reasoning behind this list (THANK YOU TOREY), I thought to myself, now I know. Now I remember.
I am reminded of what a truly unique and precious place this is- Magicka that is. I have been a student of other schools before. NOWHERE or NO ONE has ever posted a list such as this. A list that speaks to the understanding that not all problems / healing requires magickal assistance but rather mundane assistance- something I think that is altogether too often forgotten in the magickal community. Mundane healing seems almost looked down upon in the magickal community <from my experience....and unfortunately I have too much experience related to this topic>.
I suffer from Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. I have yet to find a doctor willing to treat me for my condition as my illness is extremely progressive and the prognosis is, putting it mildly, bad. But I still want to be treated. As a nurse with some experience in this condition, I have found my own mundane ways in order to treat my illness. Without these mundane "ways" I am a waking vegetable. I am unable to interact with my surroundings and am bedridden without these mundane "ways". Despite my efforts I am still very ill, but at least I am able to be HERE at least some of the time and that is something. When I have sought out magickal healing I have been put down for my own mundane efforts in healing myself. But if it weren't for these mundane efforts, I wouldn't be able to seek out magickal assistance. It is my sincere hope that my mundane efforts will make it so that I am able to receive true magickal healing. I am crying as I write this. When I clicked on "healing energy requests" the last thing I expected to find was a thread acknowledging the need for mundance healing assistance. For the first time since falling ill four years ago, I don't feel "dirty" for seeking out both mundane and magickal ways to heal me. For the first time in four years I feel that I have done what is right for me and that my efforts both magickally and/or mundane are complementary (as has been my gut instinct) instead of being forced to choose one system over another.
I am so thankful Magicka exists. I am so thankful for this final feeling of validation (that I didn't know I needed but apparently I did!) that you can be both a nurse and a witch and this doesn't have to be a choice of one over the other. That being a wiccan nurse is something and not nothing and that both magick AND nursing are not seperate entities that cannot be combined.
I apologize for the long post. I didn't expect to be sharing my story as I did. It is hard for me to explain what I am thinking sometimes and I hope this post is not confusing. I just wanted to say how thankful I am that there is a place such as this that recognizes TRUE life requires both mundane actions and magickal actions.
THANK YOU.
Brightest of Blessings To All-
Guenivere

Guenivere, your story touched me in a very big way. *HUGE MASSIVE HUGS* I'm so happy that you found comfort and solace, not only in this post, but in the whole of Magicka. We are a spiritual family here...as I was once told. I believe that to the very core of my being. Blessings to you eternally.

As people we have many paths we can choose to go in if in need, why on earth only limit yourself to one! All choices are there for a reason, I say use them! In the end, who is to say how the 'magick' will come about for you?
Get the help you need and don't let ANYBODY tell you its less of a choice because it doesn't involve standing naked in a circle and spouting flowery words!

Guenivere,
Having MS is a difficult time (my husband has MS) I understand that you need to look at all the options. Here on Magicka you can talk about anything, about how you are feeling, wether it is magickal requests that you need, or just someone to talk to. This are not mundane, this is life, take what you need. We are all here to help. As you said, people talk about alternative medicine, when it should be complementary.
Healing energy I send to you as well as my thoughts that you find someone who can help in all aspects of you care.
You can allways talk to us here on magicka.
