Does anyone have any homemade herbal recipes they use for medicinal purposes they would like to share? Everything from cuts and bug bites/stings, to colds and headaches!

I use Tea Tree essential oil for minor cuts and wounds but I've also found it very useful for thrush-mind you it feels like a breeze is blowing down there if you know what I mean

I once had a stye and got rid of it by using calendula and chamomile flowers that I used as a compress-not sure if compress is the right word but basically I put them in a small drawstring pouch after having soaked them in water.

This is not herbal but when you get a mosquito bite spit is actually not that bad if you're itching and have nothing around you at hand.

For colds I cut up some ginger and let it simmer in boiling water for about 5-10 mins and then I put the pieces in a cup and add honey and lemon juice and hot water-I've used this when I had an annoying sore throat and chewed on the ginger pieces and it did relieve the sore throat pretty well!

A little bit of Lavender rubbed on the temples works wonders for a headache.

Peppermint is great for stomach aches and tastes really good as well.

You can mix mint and baking soda for toothpaste, does not taste that great but it works wonders.

Tea-tree oil is great for a variety of antiseptic needs just make sure you dont use it directly on the skin in needs to be mixed with some form of oil or aloe vera gel.
