Making your own bath and body products right at home can be really fun. I started doing this while I was in High School when I found my combination skin didn't react well to many of the store bought preparations. As soon as I found out an egg and honey facial would help, I went on the search for other things that might be beneficial too. I still get weird looks from my kids now rather than my brother, but heh, it's still funny.

I've been able to broaden my horizons too. From mashed up fruit facials and olive oil hair treatments; to cream lotions and lip masks.

So, what are some of the things that you make? What do you use them for? Which are your favorites? Do you have a recipe of your own you'd like to share?

I make herbal bath sachets, they are really simple and a great way to create the right mood for your bath. I'm not very educated about it, I use stuff that smells nice, or has a correspondance to the ritual I'm cleansing for (I only have a bath for ritual and meditative purposes...showers are what I do for cleaning!).
