Merry Meet...
I have a question.....
Recently saw in a store a small dragon fly shaped bath exfoliant, its ingredients were: sea & mineral salt, corn startch and baking soda. It was kind of like a pumice but said y ou can put it in your bath or use it on rough spots. My question is, with those 4 ingredients, how would you get them to stay together to make a bar like that? what liquid would be used to make them blend and would you bake it? it just let it set in a molded shape? i thought with the salts it might be good to use on my back, as it sometimes seems to break out and the regular body washes i have been using arent working very well.

thanks....BB
Jennifer~

You could probably make those ingredients 'stick' by just spritzing them with water until they're just barely damp; then pressing them into a mold really tight and allowing it to air dry.

Have you ever tried dry brushing? With natural bristles that are soft, it's quite a stimulator; helps get the blood flowing to all your extremities right there at the surface of the skin.

There are also quite a few products out on the market that would help exfoliate; like raw silk bath mits; ayate cloth scrubbers; luffa, etc.

I've never used a bar type product like this to exfoliate with other than a pumice stone on my heels; I think I'm afraid I might apply too much pressure and end up scratching myself.

Hmmm...that is something to try. It just looked interesting. If I should go back, I will have to buy one and try it :)
It may be too much for sensitive skin. I thought it might be good with the salts and cornstarch for body break outs.

I never tried the dry brushing. I was looking more for the cleansing ability of the salts than the exfoliant part of it.

Thank you!!
