I'm into heavier scents and heady combinations. My favorite includes a blend of dragon's blood, nag champa, and patchouli.
Which brings to mind, does anybody know what dragon's blood is made from?

Hi catcrazed
That's a good question, I don't know either where dragon's blood comes from. Maybe I'll give it a look-up and see what I can find.
My favorite blends tend to be on the light, calming variety - anything lavender, chamomile, vanilla- those type scents.

Dragons blood: 1 part dragon's blood (the herb), 15 parts oil, 1 part arabic
That was in my BOS, sorry can't find origonal source
My favourite blend is the simple yet invigorating ylang ylang with a smidge of vanilla.

Mine varies. For relaxing I like lavendar, chamomile and vanilla.
I also like patchouli, myrrh, ylang ylang and orange.
I also sometimes mix clove, dragon's blood and frankincense.
All depends on my mood. I will also use herb and/or oils both.
I also did not know about dragon's blood. Good info to know. (my son likes dragon;s blood, orange, and sandalwood)
Brightest Blessings!

As I understand it, Dragons blood is the resin that is secreted in the fruit of a Daemonorops draco blume, Which is a type of palm tree.
Hope this helps

yes Ryan is correct, dragon's blood is the resin, or hardened form of sap from the tree he mentioned.

Two combinations that I enjoy:
Patchouli, Sweet Orange, Lavender (or geranium)
Cedar, Sweet Orange, Neroli
Both are winners with my clients.

Both of those combinations sound really nice, I might have to try them soon. Thanks for the tip, Meluzina!
