Greetings Good Gentles!

My fiance and I are getting married in June (the public ceremony), but are having our Handfasting during Spring Equinox. Now, I'm pretty good at writing rituals- I've got a way with words. And I can slam out a kick a$$ ritual in about an hour. But, this handfasting thing has me stumped!

I've never been to a hand fasting, and during my internet research, there seems to be as many ways to do one as there are people in the world! I want this ritual to feel special, not just like any other ritual I write. To me, this is when my fiance and I will really, truly, be one in the eyes of the Gods.

So, if anyone has ANY ideas about things to do for my Handfasting, I'm all ears! Something neat you saw at one once, or a line of ritual verse that pops into your head, send it my way!

If it helps you any, we are mainly Celtic, but also do a little Egyptian. I also, personally work closely with animal magick, and my patron Goddress is Bast.

I enjoy it so much when the couple 'jumps the broom' - hope you're going to include that in your ritual. Really, the rest is up to you - are there no Celtic handfastings outlined anywhere? If you find a H.Ps or H.P. to officiate they may have certain ways of doing things or might have suggestions for you.
