What is everyone's favorite method of divination when you don't have any of your tools handy?
Suggestions?

Michael, good to see you old friend. Thank you for the clarity on this. Since I started going to church and playing along with my parents while I lived with them (this was nessesary to maintain even a livable peace) I've had a mental block when trying to meditate. Any suggestions?

I dunno. I actually don't mind going to church. I feel so connected to spiritual energy in the Church Environment. So many raise their energy and while its not the same way I would do it they do so in their own way and it is very uplifting. The messages that tend to come forth in the church setting are amazing as well granted I probably interpret them differently then the others would but I make the most of the environment that I am in. I tend to just meditate while in church. I would suggest to focus on your breath if you can become aware of your breath and follow it in and out you'd probably start to feel the connection as well.

Clairsentience is a fall back, but I always carry my pendulum at the very least and, quite often, my tarot.

I don't do much divination, but if I need to and have no tools, I look for signs. Animals crossing my path, cloud shapes, several songs with a common theme playing on the radio etc.
Bright Blessings,

You are not the only one Michael. I don't mind sitting in churches especially when I am the only one there. I also have helped my sister with church activities. She is episcopalian which is a very liberal denomintation, but I don't mind my son occasionally going to sunday school, although I will be starting moon classes with him real soon. Probably over the summer. There is nothing wrong with church, just as long as they don't shove it down your throat.
And as for divintation without tools. I follow my gut a lot and I look for number sequences from the angels. I reciver messages through meditation a lot as well. But what I've noticed when I am reading cards especially for someone else, I tend to read more of my intuition than the cards. Tools aren't always necesary for me.

You can usually put a pendulum in your pocket. Or a piece of string and a small bolt, make your own. And of course, you always have yourself. But I am never without at least a pendulum. And I usually have a tarot deck, possibly runes with me. I go around pretty well prepared.

I used to wear a pendulum around my neck full time. No one ever asked about it because it looked like a necklace. I really need to make a new one of these.

Pick up a book, magazine or news paper (it's rare that one of these is not somewhere near at hand).
Open to a page at random and without looking point to someplace on the page. Read what is written around/near your finger.

As a medium, I don't need any tools and just need to listen. But on the whole, I find tools like cards, pendulums, crystals to be enjoyable. Most necklaces can double as a pendulum btw... I actually bought a lovely little athame, but for some reason have never used it. I just prefer my hand. Also, I can learn things by holding someone elses jewelry. So just chatting with someone and touching or trying on their jewelry can entertain me to no end!

I'm definately going to try that soon and see how it works out. There seems to be a endless string of ways to do this.
