I am not sure if this is the right form or if crafts would be but here we go. I want to make my own athame but I feel compelled to use Copper for the blade. I know there supposed to be made with still but I am really feeling a strong calling toward copper and sense it is a conductor of energy I thought it would make for good substitute. I have been trying to research weather this would be ok or not. what do you guys think?

it hard to read I only have a couple basic books and other than my courses I have to relay on websites and my phone is my only access to the internet.

Omi I just had the most amazing thought I am going to carve it out oak burn. the handle with a wood burner for a hand than I am going to enlay with copper
I was trying to meditate and it came in thank you for your help in this

Everything that feels right for you, is in fact right... don't worry about the material... The fact that an athame SHOULD be made of steel is just a recommendation for the commonly used material. If you feel drawn to something else for whatever reason, then by all means use it.
