I have a friend, Macey, that I talk to regularly. Most of my friends are friends with her, I'm friends with her, and I think she's a great person. Her family is fine as well, nothing against them, but I simply cannot spend a long amount of time in her house. There is a negative energy there that constantly gives me bad vibes and makes me feel that I'm not wanted in that home. If I stay long enough, it will give me a fever and the shakes, and it'll drain me of my energy and my mood. My friend Sandra, who is also very well attuned to energies and spirits, doesn't feel any of this, so I feel this may be some kind of entity that doesn't like me very much and wants me driven out.

Any advice on how to protect myself from negative energies, and on how to find peace with any spirits that may dislike or feel threatened by me?

I would recommend finding a way to shield yourself mentally from these attacks. I have been trying many different methods for shielding myself from entities like that to little affect for me so far. One came from Michael, who suggested visualizing a wall of roses. I'm sure he can elaborate on it, if he catches this thread (which I'm positive he will).

Another thing I'm finding is that entities can hear you whether you speak aloud or not. Maybe you could try letting the entity know you aren't going anywhere and would like to get along peacefully by casting those thoughts out to it, if you haven't already. That way, the family around you doesn't think you're nuts for talking out loud to something they can't see and you still get your point across.

I'm still pretty inexperienced when it comes to contact with spirits, but I hope my humble suggestions give you some options. And good luck!

Before you go into the house surround yourself with some strong protection. Some people like to visualize a beautiful whitish/silver light surrounding them, some people visualize some kind of armour protecting them.

You could also tell the spirit to leave you alone that you're not going to allow it to take or use your energy.

You might benefit from wearing an amulet around your neck for protection.
I use Angel wings, I wrap myself with them anytime I feel I need protection. Practice shielding, and stay grounded.
You can tell them to leave you alone, be firm and stand your ground.
Has the family tried smudging the house?
Prayers to your Goddess or Gods before you visit may also help.
In any case hope this helps some, psychic attacks aren't fun, do some research on the web, there are a lot of info there about Ghost and Spirits you might be able to use.

I myself like to hunt them. Id make a living at it if I had the money for the right equipment. I have some equipment, but not enough to do it alone, im in a group.
