am I the only one who's becoming circle obsessed? I practically cast it for everything, even hoodoo at times...which is of course definitively odd...
what is your opinion? is there ever a draw back in definitively wanting a circle?

I prefer casting for most things, but there are times when it is not expedient to do so.

I never cast a circle unless I am inviting specific energies into my ritual space. I certainly would not cast one for simple spells and general rituals.

I rarely cast a circle, just depends on what im doing.

I only cast a circle if I feel the need to do so, which is rarely.

thank you all for your replies, I enjoy reading and seeing different points of view.... I have noticed it does take a considerable amount of energy to cast a circle to be honest, though sometimes when I DON'T cast it, I get even more drained, and I don't even invite specific entities to my workings, so I'm wondering what would be causing that. I also get more results when casting a circle, but that could be more depending on my mindset

That's true, you may be building more energy just by the act of building your circle. I use to use a circle, but have found over the years its not always necessary. It will also put your head in another zone, if it works for you, then do it.

It depends on what you are doing
asking a God/ess to assist in something then yes for their respect I do. Also a lot of Indian activities are done in circles but we dont call the elements just do our thing going in a circle
