Storytelling with the Tarot cards game

Found this on a forum I belong to. Thought I would share as it seems like a fun activity. Seems to me if you don't have anyone to play with it would also be fun to do on your own.

Story Telling game with the Tarot cards.
A fun game that can be played with friends, children and family, young and old. No prior understanding of the tarot cards is necessary and it will help encourage creativity and intuition among the players.
Shuffle the deck and divide into piles , the number of piles depends on the number of players. For example if you have 2 people playing then use 2 piles, 3 people then 3 piles, etc..
Each player gets a stack of cards, face down. Start the game by placing a card face up on the table. This is the beginning of your story.
"Once Upon a Time…" start a story based on the images you see on this first card. The next player puts a card from his or her stack on top of the card on the table and continues the story. Everyone can help in the story telling process and each person lays out one card on their turn until all the cards are gone.

Blessings,
Rayvenstar

What I really like about this game is any age can play. The younger ones can play without having to know how to read. It will be like picture reading for them. Head start wants my son, Drake to start picture reading so I thought want to get him involved in a game as well. I can open my intuition on the cards more and he can have fun making up a story with the pictures. :)

blessed be,
rayvenstar

Well my Granddaughter loved this game, we used the Legacy of the Divine and the whole story seemed to revolve around the 8 of Swords, and my Granddaughter decided she had to be rescued, so needless to say every card could save her or help pay to save her ( coins ) lol We has a blast playing this game.

Lindsay,
Buy him his own deck :D Ive sent him his first pendulum, so he should have a Tarot deck too. Then you dont have to worry he will want yours. I wonder if they make Tarot decks for children, with child themes they could understand. I bought my Granddaughter a crystal ball, Tarot deck, wand, and a pendulum, She takes very good care of her " Which" items, she understands if her Mom catches them in the floor she takes them. Shes only 9 years old but has picked her witch name, and is always wanting me to tell her, well anything she can drag out of me. We are all the time doing magical exercises together, she slept with her wand for a week, and her pendulum, shes just to cute.

Blessings

That's a great idea! I never thought of that. I'm going to hunt around for a children's deck. Thanks for the tip!

Blessed be,

Wheel of Fortune

These three women are full of luck, both good and bad. Their friendship has stayed consistent through thick and thin. Currently their luck is turning to success after a period of hardships. They are learning and growing and an extreme change for the better is coming for all of them...

Nevaeh... Beautiful name. Heaven spelled backwards right? I once thought about naming my first daughter that.

She thought it up all on her own, she said Nannie my Witch name is Nevaeh, I said thats such a cool name, she said yea its Heaven spelled backward, Mommy always calls me Angel-poop. I love that child so much, she's such a blessing to me.
