MM,
since the question of crystal identification comes up every now and then, I thought I post a link to an online identification guide:

http://www.minsocam.org/MSA/collectors_ ... .htm#Intro

It's called a mineral id guide, but most crystals qualify as minerals. Also, I understand that you may not want to subject your crystals to some of the tests as they can damage the crystal and some tests can't be done on tumbled stones. Hope you find some useful information anyway.

Here is another link that explains the identifying attributes a bit more in layman's terms, but the tables aren't as detailed as the other.

Sequoia Mist

Another link that is interesting to explore is

Mindat.Org : Alphabetical Index of Minerals, Varieties, Synonyms and other names

Others that may be of interest concerning metaphysical properties are:

MM Sequoia Mist and willow~moon,

I've just recently begun studying crystals and their uses. The sites that you've
listed have loads of info on them that I'm sure will help me a lot! Thanks a bunch
for posting them!

James
