So, how did you come into your tools? Were there a few that were gifts? Did you make some of them? Maybe some of them were made as a gift to you!
I'd love to hear all about your Herbal Tools, and if you have a picture you'd like to share I'd love to see that too!
This is a Mortar and Pestle my husband bought for me. When I started out with herbs I only had one mortar and pestle and didn't want to use the same ones for culinary as well as incense use.
While learning I love to talk about what I've learned, and my husband is the most opportune person to hear me babble on first hand and refine my thoughts a bit.

(poor man) I expressed the concerns I had with grinding resins in the same mortar and pestle as my herbs and spices for food. A little while later he came home with this as a gift for all my hard work and studying!
Right now it's filled with rice. I'm cleansing a few stones that my daughter brought home from a hike and wanted to give me. Both are very pretty and there's one that's white with pink veins which I find really beautiful. I have a feeling this little stone will be aiding me with chakra work soon!
This little mortar and pestle has a permanent place on the altar I've set up over the last few months. I've used it for many things other than just grinding down woods, herbs and resins!
What are some of your tools and the story behind them? How did you acquire them? What are some of the things you find yourself using them for?
